Pier 16 is near the apartment that I lived in my Sophomore year when I studied at NYU. I had a hard time during the period when I lived there. The Pier is near the Hudson River. It always made me feel better to take a walk along the river. I used my lens to capture the strangers that I encountered-- locals and tourists. The strong sense of stories this series of photo conveys surprises me every time when I look at them.
